Cross At Luray Caverns

Not having ever been to a bike race, let alone a cross race, I had no idea what to expect.  I was hoping there would be swarms of racers with the course surrounded by screaming fan. After I got there I had to lower my expectations a little.  There were actually more racers than spectators which I believe I can attribute to this being the first year of this event.  Nonetheless it was a beautiful day and bikes were involved, how could you possibly go wrong?

One half of the double barrier that each racer had to hurdle near the end of each lap.

One of the best things about this race was that it seemed very accessible. There are so many classes that you are sure to find one in which you can be competitive.  Everyone from wafer-thin hard-core racers to weekend warriors out to have some fun were racing.  If I have a bike for this next year I really would like to compete.  It looks like a lot of fun!

Till next time,

Yes, I agree to you. By the way I occasionally go there for riding my bike and sometimes cycling and taking lunch at any good romantic bed and breakfasts.
